twitter updates and the superbowl

The s2n twitter tracker page has been significantly redesigned. The main page just shows the popular links tweeted, as well as the number of times each was linked by a unique user. We've also moved the most recent tweets to show up below each link, so you can easily see what people are saying, before you even visit the link. Just click the 'show comment' link on the right to display them.

We also moved the word tracker and word graph to its own page. You can easily see the top 50 words used, the use graph, as well as recent twitters including that word. This page also has some more significant visual upgrades planned for the next few days, so check back soon to see the changes.

Today being the Super Bowl and all, you can keep track of what the twittersphere is talking about in regards to the big game, or, depending on your interests, what people think of the other big viewing interest, the Super Bowl ads. We don't have a user search yet, but like they say on TV....Stay Tuned!

atom feed added

For those of you addicted to your RSS reader, we've added a feed to the main twitter page. Currently this is provided in the Atom format. It will update twice daily. As of right now, it's listing just the top 15 words for the day, though we're hoping to expand that to include the popular links as well.

Also, we've gotten a request to be able to subscribe to a feed specific to a certain keyword. The idea is that the feed would update when someone used that word (or more likely, it would update once or twice a day if there were new uses of a specific keyword). We're investigating the feasibility of this and what type of information the feed will include is still in discussion.

If you've got any desires or ideas for other types of feeds, please add them to the comments.

s2n.com up and running with twitter

Welcome to the s2n blog. Hello world, you know the drill.

Without further ado, let me introduce the brand new, yet very early version of the twitter filter-a-matic. The goal of the s2n pulse meter is to give a quick and easy run down of what's being talked about by, in this case, twitter users. The last few days saw twitter abuzz with the news from Macworld as well as the recent death of Heath Ledger.

The use of twitter is a first step of a big idea , so consider this the beginning of cool things to come. We'll be posting more announcements as well as anything deemed interesting enough for the whole world, so check back or subscribe to stay current on s2n developments.
